Food prices
The same staple can cost twice as much from one market to the next. These are observed retail prices from WFP’s food-security monitoring — arid counties and refugee-hosting settlements, where almost everything is trucked in.
Not national averages. Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Nakuru are not in this dataset. Prices here run above what most of Kenya pays.
